An simple mechanism for your sand or DE filter which will allow the automatic “washing” of your sand or DE in the filter, during a normal Backwash/Rinse cycle. The Filter Friend™ takes a fraction of the time to backwash your filter, whilst leaving your filter "CLEANER" than it was the last time a backwash was done. The Filter Friend™ will ensure that your filter will always be free of Lumps or Mud-balls , preventing the formation of "eddies", which direct water through the easiest path of resistance during Filtration AND Backwashing; compromising the efficiency of both processes. The efficiency will reduce "strain" on the motor, as well as reduce the time required for backwashing/rinsing . Tired of needing to disconnect your "bottom cleaner" when doing a backwash? Then trying to retrieve pipes to reconnect your cleaner after a backwash has been done! The Backwash Buddy™ is just what you have been waiting for. Installation is as simple as connecting two suction pipes together. Connected inline, after the first pipe, the Backwash-Buddy™ allows for easy access when backwashing is done. A simple "twist and turn" movement activates the Backwash Buddy™ and backwashing can be done. On completion of the process, the same "twist and turn" action will re-engage the floor cleaner to continue filtration and circulation.

Pool Owners have been exposed to surface cleaners for many years where performance promises have been made, but purchase an installation has often resulted in disappointment. In some cases these surface cleaners attached to the return valve of the pool have been removed and the pool owner has resorted back to the old process of using a pool net when the surface becomes very "dirty". This invariably result in debris dropping to the floor of the pool resulting in contamination of the water which then needs to be treated with expensive chemicals. Collection of the debris whilst still on the surface prevents the debris from actually having a chance to decompose on the bottom of the pool. In addition, debris collected on the floor of the pool fills the weir basket which will compromise the pump's ability to circulate the water. Smaller debris enters the filtration system resulting in the need to backwash on a more regular basis. The unique design of the Alpha Venturi™ will clear the surface more efficiently of any unwanted debris. Attached to the return valve of the pool, the Alpha Venturi™ is small in size, does not "wander" into the swimming area, but hugs the side of the pool at all times. The newly designed collection net does not affect surface circulation whilst it contains debris, and when at rest, drops down making the Alpha Venturi™ even less visible in the pool. The Alpha Venturi™ does not restrict itself to debris (leaves, pollen etc), but will "consume"any other items left floating in the pool like bottles and containers.

An alternative, but as effective offer as the Alpha Venturi©, the uniquely designed Surface Cyclone Sinkhole makes use of more than the "simple" venturi efffect to draw surface water into itself in order to sift out unwanted surface debris. The Surface Cyclone Sinkhole is an easy to install side mounted connection to the return valve of the pool. The product utilises advanced Venturi technology, with an effectiveness driven by the unique foliage collector and a durable and uniquely designed collection bag. The improved effectiveness increases flow through the sink-hole whereby cleaning the surface before the foliage falls to the floor. Pool pump running time will now be restricted to the time required to circulate and filter the total water volume, and not by the condition of the surface or floor of the pool.
